Jan Zachariasse shares about the origin of “Stuckness” of the Inzet to Purpose Programs

“Purpose” is what drives us at Inzet, our purpose being to help clients use their purpose as a practical and strategic growth tool for their business and life.  When I graduated from Georgetown University’s Executive Leadership Coaching Program and started coaching clients, I noticed that many of those clients struggled with similar issues.  These symptoms came in different flavors and colors, which at the time, made it difficult to name.  Over time, it became clear that they were “stuck!”  They were stuck at home, or stuck at work.  When I started to use that word, my clients faces lit up.  It clearly depicted what they were feeling!

So, we designed a program called, “Coaching Through Stuck-ness.”  It was a catchy and effective title, but ultimately did not make the “shift” in my clients that I had hoped for.

In reflecting on my own journey, including periods of “feeling stuck,” I came to realize that “stuck-ness” happens when we seem to have lost our sense of PURPOSE!  The program was retooled and now focused on that PURPOSE and it became so popular that my partner, John, and I decided to build a company around PURPOSE.  That company became INZET, a Dutch word that means “all in, totally committed and fully deployed!”  Inzet to Purpose has been very rewarding for our clients as they unpack their stories and begin to see how they can use PURPOSE as a strategic decision-making tool that allows them to get “unstuck!”

If you are feeling STUCK, or feel that your company, or organization seems “stuck in neutral,” or has lost a sense of PURPOSE, call the Inzet team and let us help guide you back to an exciting and authentic growth path!
