1.  the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. “he is known to be a man of integrity”
2.  the state of being whole and undivided. “upholding territorial integrity and national sovereignty”
Purpose, coupled with Balance equals Integrity!

Interestingly, as I am challenged to continue to use my heart to focus on my purpose and challenge others to do the same, the word “integrity” keeps coming up.  I never realized that the state of “being undivided” was part of the definition of “integrity.”  The state of “being undivided” to me, speaks to balance in life.  In order to fully understand our “balance” and make sure that we are living out of integrity, we need to look at and assess all quadrants of life.  Those quadrants are, (1) personal/professional growth, (2) work life, (3) relationships/family and (4) community/church.  Once you open up your heart and start living out your purpose, the goal would be to apply that purpose to all 4 quadrants of your life.  Many times, people think they have a strong purpose that applies to ONE quadrant, but not in the others.  I’d challenge that person to look again, for if your purpose is truly from God, He would want you to be able to apply it to your WHOLE life (with integrity)!  In fact, according to the definition of “integrity,” there is none if there’s not a state of “being whole and undivided!”  Ultimately, YOUR purpose should be universal and apply to all areas of life!

Look at YOUR 4-quadrants:

  • (1) personal/professional growth
  • (2) work life
  • (3) relationships/family
  • (4) community/church.

Apply what you think your purpose is to each of these and decide what needs work and what needs to be cut out since it may be getting in the way of a balanced life of integrity!
