Inzet to Purpose Program for Young Adults allows them to find their “sweet spot” and live a fulfilled life!

At Inzet, we are dedicated to inspiring clients to thrive by empowering them to build balanced and purposeful lives.  Our purpose programs can be applied to individuals, groups, corporate teams, churches and the list goes on and on.  If someone, personally, or corporately, needs to focus their path, because they feel like things are not quite as synergetic as they could be, Inzet can help!

One segment we aspire to help, is young adults.  There is so much pressure on these young adults between the ages of 18-30, as they make the most important decisions of their lives. Most likely, they will decide on what college to go to, what career path to follow, where to live, who to marry and possibly, purchase a house.  Wow, that is a lot to consider before you are even 30 years old, but in fact these are the decisions young adults are forced to make.

Are young adults making these decisions strategically, with their purpose in mind?

Many choose to go to college for two reason.  The first, but limited segment know exactly what career path to take, but most  have NO IDEA what they want to do, so college seems to be a logical (but expensive) choice to take some time to decide.  Because of this lack of focus, in the past two years, 3.9 million students dropped out of college without a degree. That is almost 2 million per year! Harvard Business Review did a study of 752 young college grads and found that 35% jump right into their career after college, but 32% have only a slight idea of what they want to do, and find themselves wandering until they reach the age of 30 and then 33% have NO IDEA and press pause and spend most of their twenties trying to get their start.  While we expect most graduates to find their way in life after college, only about one-third actually have a clear idea on what they will do in life.  The rest are aimless!

Because of the above facts, the Inzet team wants to reach out and work with these young adults by applying the principles of our 3-phase program to help them focus on their purpose and ultimately point them toward a path that will make their lives fulfilling and much happier.  In phase 1, we explore ways to recognize a specific purpose.  In phase 2, with a clearly defined purpose in mind, we clarity what makes life meaningful and satisfying, and help clients tap into their personal inzet; the passionate heart-and-mind drive to live out of purpose, aligning future decisions with that purpose.  In phase 3, we collaborate on mapping out a plan to continue our client’s personal track.

I wish I had had the ability to step through an Inzet to Purpose Program when I was in my 20’s, because life would look very different today.  I spent most of my life trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grow up.  When I say that to people my age (58), many agree that the STILL don’t know what they want to be when they grow up.  Many land in a career that they hate, and because of the responsibilities of life, they are trapped on the “hamster wheel” of life, peddling just to stay ahead and living a life of chaos. We always have a chance to reframe our narrative and make a choice to step onto our “purpose path” (or Inzet), but we have found that the earlier that people start, the more likely that they will find their “sweet spot” and live a more fulfilled life!
